The Council requires a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to manage the provision of the property management and business support services at the Business and Technology Centre (BTC), Bessemer Drive, Stevenage, SG1 2DX and Chells Industrial Units (CIU), The Glebe, Chells Way, Stevenage, SG2 0LQ. The BTC is a well established enterprise and innovation centre providing flexible, quality facilities and business support to regional businesses. The BTC aims to make a positive impact on the geographical area in which it is based by assisting the start-up and growth of businesses, especially those from the knowledge-based sector; and to support existing innovative businesses to flourish. It promotes innovation in local schools and colleges and works closely with the University of Hertfordshire. Chells is home to 16 single-storey industrial workshops ranging in size from 67 m2 to 126 m2. The industrial workshop units are let on easy in, easy out monthly licence terms to make it easy for businesses to downsize or move into a larger unit if required.
