Tender description

Historic England wishes to commission a project on behalf of the Historic Environment Forum (HEF) on carbon in heritage. This project will examine carbon through the life-cycle of assets; with a particular focus upon embodied carbon in buildings. The research will not simply calculate embodied carbon in the historic environment, but should also consider the carbon emissions and cost avoided when heritage is conserved and buildings are properly maintained and retrofitted.
