United Utilities Water Limited intend to put in place a framework for the supply and delivery of sulphur dioxide drums and therefore are embarking on some pre-market engagement beforehand to understand what is potentially on offer in the market, before commitment is made to any formal procurement process. The framework will cover supply and delivery to the various United Utilities sites across the North West of England that need SO2 drums for their treatment requirements. United Utilities Water Limited intend to put in place a framework for the supply and delivery of sulphur dioxide drums. The framework will cover supply and delivery to the various United Utilities sites across the North West of England that need SO2 for their treatment requirements. All chemicals supplied for use on potable Water Treatment Works (WTW) must be listed on the DWI’s Approved Products List or meet the relevant BSEN specification as listed in the Approved Products List including any additional conditions. We would like potential suppliers to submit a confirmation they can supply SO2 in drums. United Utilities currently use 1 016 kg drums, therefore the potential supplier will need to advise of the size/volume of their SO2 drums, as well as the quantity available of these drums, and whether the potential supplier currently supplies to any other utility company. Please note this is not a call for competition this is merely pre-market engagement whereby United Utilities wishes to understand what is potentially on offer before commitment is made to any formal procurement process.
