Tender description

Supply of subsea cable: — 40 000 mtrs (in single length or sections), — 18/30(36) kV, 3 copper conductors (cross section 400 m m2), — XLPE insulated, — double or single wire armoured, — completed with one (1) interstitial fibre optic cables containing 24/48 fibres. Scottish Hydro Electric Power Distribution plc ("SHEPD") have an emergency requirement for the supply of 40 km of subsea cable [as detailed in II.1.4) above] due to fault on existing circuit. The purpose of this PIN is to establish availability of such a cable for fault rectification. Respondents are requested to urgently contact SHEPD with details of any available cable to stated specification. Due to extreme urgency respondents are requested to submitt any relevant information in advance of the closing date of the PIN where possible.
