Warwickshire CC wish to commission a single provider for the provision of an alternative approach to Foster Care arrangements in Warwickshire through the procurement of a fostering block for up to nine foster care placements over a 4 year contract. Initially we are looking for 4 foster care placements which maybe increased to 9 placements over the contract subject to demand, evidenced delivery of satisfactory outcomes for children and budget availability. Initially we are looking for 4 foster care placements which maybe increased to 9 placements over the contract subject to demand, evidenced delivery of satisfactory outcomes for children and budget availability. Applicants should be aware that volumes and block contract amounts may increase if additional funding becomes available or may decrease if funding reduces, during the term of the contract. Warwickshire social care have identified in excess of 20 children across safeguarding and SEND teams that are currently in residential settings and would be suitable to step down to foster care with the right package of support in place. The children identified have historically had a number of placement breakdowns as a Result of their complex needs and or behaviors and have therefore ended up being placed in residential care, in many cases because there were no offers of a foster care placement. The service will be delivered in line with each child’s care plan and associated outcomes and will focus on the following principles: — child focused approach to service delivery, — empowering children’s voice, — achieving outcomes, — promoting equality and community inclusion, — working in partnership, — safeguarding children, — supporting and growing independence. This service will support Warwickshire’s looked after children and young people aged between 6 – 17 years. The children accessing the service will either currently be in residential care or will be Identified as being ‘at risk’ of residential care by the local authority. The service will be 24 hrs per day 365 days per year.
