Tender description
Manchester City Council are looking for a professional security services provider (or providers) to support the Authority in delivering The “Our Manchester” strategy, specifically in ensuring that those who live and work within the City and those who visit here, are kept and feel safe at all times. The contract is to include the following activities: — provision of staff for mobile patrols, — keyholding and alarm response duties, — investigation and verification of alarms including fire, — Open/close/lock/ unlock activities at a range of locations, — critical location guarding and access control, — asset protection guarding and access control, — temporary asset protection, — control room staffing and CCTV monitoring, — car Park monitoring and control. The service provider will be expected to develop a security solution for all locations identified in the tender documents commensurate with their risk environment and public/Council Members interaction. This lot includes locations which have been identified by the Council as requiring “Asset protection Guarding” with the details of personnel deployment to include: a key aspect of the requirement for this range of security services is to not only protect the buildings as defined by “asset” above but also to extend this to support the building users. Custodian patrols within the new security contract will be replacing the MCC incident response service and the new service provider will be expected to work closely with the Council to develop a proactive security solution commensurate with the risk environment and public interaction throughout the parks, cemeteries and public spaces. Supporting the Alarm Receiving Centre with the response solely to Alarm outputs across the estate. The service provider will be required to escalate incidents to the Custodian service (Lot 3) if required and to use the centrally agreed strategy for the reporting and managing of incidents. Routinely opening and closing agreed locations in line with specific instructions. The provision of temporary alarm/asset protection technology for selected locations
