Tender description

Derbyshire County Council are inviting tenders from organisations experienced in the provision of community based housing related support services to people aged 55 and over. The provision is currently known as the older people’s floating support service. The existing service is delivered across Derbyshire and currently supports 3 800 people across 8 areas. The service also provides an out of hours and Falls Recovery Service (FRS) response utilising the same staff, the latter attended over 3 800 incidents in 2018. Funding for the FRS element (currently 34 GBP per call-out but this figure is reviewed annually) is additional to the housing related support service budget (see specification for more detail). We intend to re-procure the service in 2019 with a more outcomes focused approach and rebranded as the Independent Living Service (ILS). We also wish to engage with providers on the delivery of the service.
