Tender description

The purpose of the event is to discuss with service providers the requirements for the provision of an external safeguarding expert to undertake a programme of safeguarding assessments and reviews over a period of 3 years of the effectiveness of DBS’ policies, processes and procedures to deliver its operational disclosure and operational barring functions. The event to discuss the proposed specification will take place on 21.3.2019 commencing at 10:00 (GMT) and ending no later than 14:00 (GMT). The location of the event will be in Liverpool. Details to be confirmed. The service provider will need to clearly demonstrate, to the satisfaction of DBS, expertise in undertaking assessments and reviews of safeguarding activities (plus supporting policies, procedures and processes) within a large organisation together with relevant safeguarding legislation and regulations. Additional services that will be required include, but not limited to: — “Deep dive” investigations and follow up reviews on, as a minimum, high priority actions, — associated reports and presentations to Executive Leadership Team and DBS Board; plus, — presentations at operational function levels The event to discuss the proposed scope of requirements will take place on 21.3.2019 commencing at 10:00 (GMT) and ending no later than 13:00 (GMT). The location of the event will be in Liverpool. Details to be confirmed. Please note there is a limit of 2 delegates per organisation. If organisations wish to meet individually with the commissioners for a 10 minute conversation following the main event could you please indicate this requirement as part of your response. Upon registration each organisation attending will be required to complete and sign a non-disclosure agreement which will enable DBS to release the draft proposed scope of requirements to the attendees. DBS intend to hold a follow up event on 8.4.2019 to discuss any amendments to the scope etc. as a result of the discussions of the first event above.
