Norfolk County Council's is redesigning the Norfolk Assistance Scheme, by in housing the application and decision making process and providing a reuse and recycle based service that is focussed on providing social value for Norfolk. The new scheme will make use of furniture, appliance and other household items reuse schemes, while providing choice and also deliver the goods to people unable to collect them. The new scheme will make use of furniture, appliance and other household items reuse schemes, while providing choice and also delivering goods to people unable to collect them. The Norfolk Assistance Scheme is aimed at assisting vulnerable people to set up home following family breakdown, resettlement into the community, homelessness, domestic violence and unforeseen crises. The council is keen to maximise its funding and reducing landfill by moving away from providing new goods and promoting the use of reused items wherever possible. This Framework Agreement will enable the authority to purchase furniture and household goods whilst focusing on social value. This will be a Framework Agreement which will allow the council's Norfolk Assistance Scheme to call-off direct awards on the basis of locality, availability of goods, ability to deliver, quality, social value and price. Please note that as this is a Framework Agreement, there is no guarantee of work.
