Tender description

The North-East Atlantic Marine Biological Analytical Quality Control (NMBAQC) co-ordinating committee is a UK group made up of members of many competent monitoring authorities. A core purpose of the NMBAQC committee is to operate a quality control scheme to externally quality assure analysis of samples. There are 3 main components of the framework: benthic invertebrates, particle size and fish. Those appointed under the framework are required to provide a high quality service and be pro-active in managing the quality assurance programme of the elements. This will entail the organisation of all samples received from participants, the provision of sample material for the scheme components, development of protocol documentation and responsibility for the collection, collation and statistical analysis of the results obtained.
