Tender description

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) are seeking expressions of interest with regards to the potential provision of Physiotherapy Education leading to registration with the HCPC in North Wales. For information only, it is anticipated a cohort of between 12 — 30 students (although no guarantees with regards to actual numbers can be given at this stage) will attend the course per annum. Cohort 1 will commence 2019/20; cohort 2 2020/21; and cohort 3 2021/22. Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) are seeking expressions of interest with regards to the potential provision of Physiotherapy education leading to registration with the HCPC. The course can be delivered as a 3 year BSc programme; a 2 year post graduate diploma; or through a combined bid of both a 2 year post graduate diploma and a 3 year BSc programme which can be delivered through a consortium of providers collaborating with shared learning opportunities. This will be in addition to a current provision of a Physiotherapy qualification provided to HEIW by Cardiff University. The course should be delivered in North Wales and not through distance learning or from another location e.g. outside of Wales. The course should be validated by the Health nd Care Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). Potential bidders should note the following: (i) HEIW give no guarantees that they will proceed to formal tender with regards to the potential provision of the services concerned and (ii) any information submitted by potential bidders in response to this PIN notice may be used to help scope any potential future requirement for these services and/or may be shared with other potential bidders and accordingly, potential bidders should not submit any information which they do not wish to be shared with others.
