Tender description

This is a Market Engagement Exercise regarding a significant development opportunity in South Leamington, Warwickshire. The site in question is located amidst exciting and wide-spread future development to the south of Leamington. Warwick District Council is currently purchasing this land from Warwickshire County Council with the purpose of delivering a new 5 000 capacity community stadium and associated enabling development. We hope to do this by 2022, subject to planning permission and programme. The Council is looking at what enabling development is appropriate to this site, and what interest there is in the market for particular uses of this site. The Council is also keen to explore any innovative funding or delivery models that would maximise the outcomes from this site for the Council and for the local community. The Council is holding a launch event for potentially interested parties in Leamington Spa on Tuesday 13.3.2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Officers and Councillors will provide a brief introduction to the site and to the outcomes that it is seeking from this major project. There will then be an opportunity for attendees to have short one-to-one discussions with officers and Councillors involved in this project, in order to gain a further understanding of any opportunities or constraints on the site. Following the launch event organisations will be invited to submit a brief executive summary of their proposals for the development of this site to the Council for further consideration. These submissions will be evaluated by the Council in order to determine how best to market and procure the development of this site.
