Tender description

The requirement is for a dynamic underwater laser scanner that will allow for real-time 3D point cloud generation with on-the fly inspection for rapid data collection over long baselines. This system will need to have sufficient flexibility to be deployed in a range of different operating conditions, including; stationary (diver deployed), from a remotely operated vehicle (ROV), autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) and also as a surface mount on survey vessel. This system will need to have sufficient flexibility to be deployed in a range of different operating conditions, including; stationary (diver deployed), from a remotely operated vehicle (ROV), autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) and also as a surface mount on survey vessel. The depth range of operation required will be to a minimum of 4000 m, and the scanning range will need to be capable of resolving features at least 20 m from the source of the transmission. Further general requirements are that there is no need for calibration to ensure maximum validity with a minimum amount of technical support in the field.
