Tender description

Instrumentation and control equipment. Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) requires a new contract for the provision of spares and repairs for the Integrated Platform Management Systems (IPMS) fitted to the two (2) ALBION Class Landing Platform Docks (LPD) and three (3) ASTUTE Class Submarines (SSNs). Additionally, the team requires this new contract for the provision of Post Design Services (PDS) for the LPD IPMS system only. The systems and equipment cover a range of human controls interface hardware, software and associated network facilities which are made up of several panels, sub-assemblies, equipments and components that have electrical and electronic functions. The components within the consoles, panels and the sub-assemblies include items such as uninterruptable power supplies, LCD display screen, keyboards and tracker balls, ICT components, Ethernet cabling, networking modems and switching, display units, meters and various electrical and electronic components. This requirement will currently support two Inventory Management Codes (IMCs) covering circa 120 NATO Stock Numbers (NSNs) across the various platforms. Detail of these NSNs will be supplied as part of the Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) documentation. The NSNs will be designated into 3 categories to indicate the likelihood of the item being demanded for issue to RN platforms. For further information see the supporting information document.
