Tender description

DFID's aim, through this programme is to deliver new, operationally-relevant evidence on understanding how natural disasters impact on basic services in developing countries, and the best response to it, that supports more evidence based - and therefore effective - development initiatives by DFID and its partners in a rangeof DFID priority countries. The new research should build a body of evidence and directly identifiy operational solutions that are then taken up in programmes. The receipients of this service will be DFID. DFID intends to award a contract for an initial term of 60 months with a maximum budget of £14.8m (inclusive of VAt and allapplicable governement taxes). DFID may extend the duration up to an additional 30 months with a maximum total contract value of £22m (inclusive of VAT and all applicable taxes).
