CP1554-17 Support for Transformational Change Approach

Devon County Council is joining a growing number of leaders in service organisations who agree that meeting today’s challenges means thinking differently and who are seeing that the current traditional approach to change through initiatives, projects and improvement ‘tools’ isn’t working. Improvement tools don’t change thinking. Nor can a project, or a series of them, change a system. We are re-framing the organisation around purposeful systems will have implications for the ‘way we do change around here’ and require a coherent and consistent approach to change across the organisation that is literally ‘fit for purpose’. Devon County Council is therefore seeking support with outcomes led transformation approach, with the commitment to improve outcomes for the people of Devon at its core. This will be through leadership and coaching to its top teams around systems thinking, systems leadership and outcomes led transformation, support to re-frame the organisation around purposeful systems and re-design of services and a Leadership Academy to transfer knowledge and build internal capability across the organisation.
