Consultant to do some pre-tender work in schools in Luton

Tender description

The Council is currently supporting 39 primary and 2 secondary schools with their IT. The equipment was purchased 8 years ago, and the current ICT support contract has been running for four years and will expire in December 2018. Before we go out to tender for equipment and maintenance (in the autumn) we need to carry out some research / sales activity, and would like to appoint a company to do this. The budget is only £13,000 and it is estimated that that should pay for about 6 weeks work doing the following: • Data gathering on ICT existing equipment / usage • Visits to the 41 schools to assess their on-going requirements in terms of IT equipment and infrastructure (e.g. do they want to ne more cloud based) and wi-fi / LAN / connectivity requirements • production of a technical specification of requirements to inform the subsequent tender process.
