Award of Supported Accommodation for Looked After Children

AWARD ONLY Supported Accommodation for one looked after child required in an emergency when no other facilities are available due to the nature of care required This waiver is in respect of a Supported Accommodation placement for a looked after child. This placement was approved at a Same Day Emergency Placement meeting on 30th August where it was agreed that the young person required single occupancy accommodation in the North East area. No provision was available in-house. All known external providers who offered this service were contacted however only Forever Care were able to offer a solo placement the following day. The young person requires 2:1 support for 24 hours per day for at least the first week of placement which may need to be extended beyond this subject to approval by senior management. Staffing will reduce to 1:1 as soon as it is safe and appropriate to do so. T
