Tender description
The States of Jersey and the States of Guernsey are leading offshore international finance centres and the financial services sector accounts for the majority of the Islands’ economic output. The Islands’ successful financial services sectors have been based on stability, innovation and expertise that have enabled them to become centre of excellence. They maintain a strong reputation, which is critical to their success in both established and emerging markets. In recent years, both Guernsey and Jersey have sought to capitalize on the opportunities presented by innovations in digital technology to diversify their economies and support increased productivity and economic growth. A good example of this in action is Jersey’s “Digital Policy Framework”, which brings together for the first time Jersey’s digital ambitions across the Government, industry and the wider society. However, whilst digital technology is a means of improving the Islands’ economies and citizens’ wellbeing, it also carries risks. In today’s digitally connected world, strong cyber security has become a prerequisite for a strong society and a thriving economy especially within the financial and digital sectors. To address this, the Islands wish to commission a consultancy assignment to explore the risks and opportunities represented by a Computer Emergency Response Facility (CERF) Keywords: feasibility
