Park and Ride Bus Provision for the Tall Ships Races Sunderland 2018

Tender description

Sunderland City Council is hosting The Tall Ships Races Sunderland 2018, for which there will be a requirement for Park and Ride services to help manage the parking demand associated with the anticipated 1.5 million visitors over the event. The Council intends to appoint a transport operator(s), in order to provide appropriate and sufficient vehicles to transport visitors from/to Park and Ride sites to/from Event Sites, as well as transport visitors between the two main Event Sites. The Park and Ride provision will be split into 3 Lots as detailed below. • Lot 1:Park and Ride sites to Northern Event Site (St Peter’s Way) • Lot 2:Park & Ride sites to Southern Event Site (Prospect Row/The Quadrant) • Lot 3:Event Shuttle Buses Each Lot will be evaluated and awarded independently.
