HealthTrust Europe (HTE) is seeking to establish a framework agreement for the provision of supplies utilised by Surgical Staff in Theatres for the purpose of preparing and cleansing the skin prior to surgery and to reduce the risk of the patient contracting a surgical site infection. The Contract shall be available to Public and Private Sector Healthcare Organisations participating as a "GPO Member" of HTE. The supplies shall categorised into the following Lots: Lot 1 — Anti-microbial Pre-operative Skin Cleansing and Hand Scrub Solutions. Lot 2 — Anti-microbial Pre-operative Skin Cleansing- Closed Systems. Lot 3 — Pre-operative Surgical Hair Clippers. Lot 4 — Surgical Skin Marker Pens. Lot 5 — Single Use Surgical Scrub Brushes. HTE is seeking to establish a sole sourced contract for Lot 1. The scope of this Lot includes Pre Op Skin Preparation Bottled Solutions and Surgical Hand Cleansing Solutions as specified in the Specification. This process will be run as a Group Purchasing Organisation Open procurement exercise and is exclusively limited to HTE members who have agreed to participate and commit volume to the awarded supplier for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 1 year. The product offering in Lot 1 will include; — Bottled Solutions. 2 % Chlorhexidine Gluconate in 70 % Alcohol Solution 4 % Chlorhexidine Gluconate in 70 % Alcohol Solution 10 % Povidone Iodine in Alcohol Solution 10 % Povidone Iodine Solution Plastic Bottles available in sizes between 50ml to 500ml. — Surgical Hand Cleansing Solutions 2.5 %. Chlorhexidine Gluconate in Alcohol Scrub Solution. 4 % Chlorhexidine Gluconate Scrub Solution 7.5 % Povidone Iodine Scrub Solution Pump dispenser Wall bracket which are installed free of charge. HTE will go to market with an initial group of Participants including; Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Tameside and Glossop Integrated care NHS Foundation Trust. South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust. HCA Hospitals. It is envisaged that the above Participating Authorities will enter into call-off contracts for a minimum period of 3 years with the Successful Tenderer for the purchase of at least 80 % by volume of each Participating Authority’s requirements for the Goods in each year of the contract term. Terms and conditions / Activity Based Income (ABI). The terms and conditions of this Framework Agreement and any resulting Call-Off contract is appended to the ITT. These terms include provisions requiring the payment by the supplier of an ABI management charge in consideration of the award of this framework agreement, the management and administration by HTE of the overall contract structure and associated documentation, as well as the requirement to submit regular management information to HTE. The supplies should have accompanying flexible rulers and labels. This process will be run as a GPO Open procurement exercise and is exclusively limited to HTE members who have agreed to participate and commit volume to the awarded supplier for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 1 year. The product offering in Lot 4 will include; — Surgical Skin Marker Pens Regular tip. — Surgical Skin Marker Pens Fine tip. HTE will go to market with an initial group of Participants including; Nottingham university hospitals NHS Trust. Kettering general hospital NHS Foundation trust.
