Installation and maintenance of Lan and Wifi

Tender description

The Council are planning a new investment in ICT infrastructure. As part of this investment the Council are looking to provision a new local area network and WiFi and the associated services to support the IT network infrastructure needs of the Council for the next five years. It is important that the Supplier work with the Council to provide a technical infrastructure capable of supporting all Council services. Local Area Network Following a recent upgrade to the local Data Centre and Wide Area Network infrastructure, the Council is looking to upgrade their existing Core, Access and Wireless networks present at two primary sites in Oxford City Centre. This upgrade should provide full-duplex 1Gbps connections to the desktop, a resilient 10Gbps connection from each access switch (or stack of switches) back to the Core, and secure 802.11ac (wave 2) corporate wireless access. As the current network estate is a number of years old, there is also a requirement to audit, re-patch and redress comms cabinets in each of the two buildings. Keywords: WiFi, Installation, LAN
