This is not a call for competition nor a ender — This is notice of a Market Engagement Event to engage with existing and prospective providers to discuss the vision/strategy and shape future provision of Adoption and Fostering Medical Assessments and Advice in Essex. Essex County Council, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council and Thurrock Council are working collaboratively to consider options for the joint commissioning of our Adoption and Fostering Medical Assessments and Advice, their a combined spend of up to GBP 300 000 pa for our Looked After Children. We are keen to have positive and open discussion with current and potential service providers to scope and explore service model and procurement options and start to specify the requirements for adoption and fostering medical assessments and advice to increase capacity and efficiencies across the region and counter any backlog / delays in placing children with their “forever” families in compliance with Court directions.
