Tender description

The Council is wishing to procure maintenance and installation of road lighting & illuminated traffic signs in the City of Bristol. The council owns & manages some 34 000 street lights (over 20 000 having been replaced in recent years) & 15 000 other traffic equipment (e.g illuminated signs, bollards and pedestrian crossings), using a reactive maintenance policy. Pre-planned programmed works are also used on an individual scheme basis. Emergency cover is also needed from 17:00 to 08:00 (Monday-Friday) and 24 hours during the weekends. Open tender. Tender is split into 2 parts: stage 1 — Technical assessment, and stage 2 — Price & quality. Only bidders who pass all stage 1 requirements will be considered for stage 2. Stage 2 criteria = 70 % Price, 30 % Quality.
