Tender description

A catheter (small, flexible tube) placed into a peripheral vein for intravenous therapy such administering medications. The tube contains a needle which facilitates its insertion and is withdrawn when the cannula is in place. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of GBP 29 000 000 to GBP 34 000 000 in the first year of this framework agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the framework agreement. The framework agreement will cover a range of Intravenous Cannulae products and will include but not be limited: Straight Cannulae, Straight with wings Cannulae, Ported Cannulae, IV Integrated Cannulae Systems, IV Winged Infusion Sets, Sub Cutaneous Cannulae, Safer devices across all ranges & Speciality products including fixing devices (Baby boards, cradles).
