Tender description

Suffolk County Council (SCC) invite Tenders for the provision of an Ambulance Service for the removal of bodies where the death has been referred to the Coroner. Instructions will be provided to collect the body and take it to the appropriate Hospital Mortuary. This contract is divided into 5 lots/areas and it is intended to appoint one or more Providers. Tenderers are invited to bid for all or any of the lots/areas. This opportunity is available in the “Current Tenders” area of portal. Interested parties are invited to express their interest to gain full access to the tender documentation. The deadline date for submissions of the tender is 19.3.2018 at 12:00 noon. Please note late returns will not be permitted. The deadline for clarification questions is 9.3.2018 at 12:00 noon, which must be generated via the correspondence option on the website. Transport the deceased from a location within Ipswich Town and South Suffolk to Ipswich Hospital, or into the contracted provider's storage awaiting further instructions from HM Coroner. Transport the deceased from a location within Suffolk rural and coastal areas incorporating Woodbridge and Felixstowe to Ipswich Hospital, or into the contracted provider's storage awaiting further instructions from HM Coroner. Transport the deceased from a location within West Suffolk areas incorporating Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury & Haverhill to West Suffolk Hospital, or into the contracted provider's storage awaiting further instructions from HM Coroner. Transport the deceased from a location within Forest Heath area incorporating Mildenhall & Newmarket to West Suffolk Hospital, or into the contracted provider's storage awaiting further instructions from HM Coroner.
