The Provision of Any Qualified Provider (AQP) for MRI and NOUS Services for NHS Wandsworth & NHS Merton CCG

Tender description

NHS Wandsworth Clinical Commissioning Group and NHS Merton Clinical Commissioning Group are undertaking a joint AQP procurement to optimise existing contractual arrangements for diagnostic services. A key output would be enhancement of clinical activity by reducing and/or increasing clinical thresholds, possible increase of diagnostic modalities and geographical coverage through Merton and Wandsworth AQP procurement. This Direct Access MRI and NOUS services will aid early diagnostics and avoid the need for unnecessary referral to secondary care. It will ensure a local service with staff qualified to appropriate levels of skill and experience, using equipment which complies with the most up-to-date guidance set by the Royal College of Radiologists, connection to NHS image transfer solutions, the ability to integrate with the e-Referral system, robust performance management systems and stringent levels of clinical governance.
