Tender description

Provision of Single Supplier Host Broadcaster TV Production Services. Glasgow Life is responsible for delivering a wide range of major cultural and sport events in the city. The team works in partnership with a number of agencies including Glasgow City Council, Event Scotland, Sport Scotland and UK Sport, as well as national and international governing bodies. Local Organising Committees (LOCs) and full Organisational Structures have been established for the delivery of the European Athletics Indoor Championships 2019 and for the LEN European Short Course Championships 2019. For the European Athletics Indoor Championships, these comprise Glasgow Life, UK Athletics, Scottish Athletics and part-event funders EventScotland; and for the European Short Course Swimming Championships, these include representation from Glasgow Life, UK Sport, British Swimming, Scottish Swimming and Event Scotland. On behalf of these groups, Glasgow Life is seeking tender submissions for the provision of Host Broadcaster TV Production Services. For the European Athletics Indoor Championships, the Host Broadcaster will be required to deliver a main arena production, covering all competitions (“events”), for all 3 days of the Championships (1-3.3.2019 inclusive). For the LEN European Short Course Swimming Championships, the Host Broadcaster will be required to deliver a main arena production, covering the event for all 5 days (4-8.12.2019 inclusive). A more detailed description of the Scope of Requirements and Technical Specifications for both Events can be found in Sections 4.3 and 4.5 of the Invitation to Tender. As part of the winning offer, the tenderer will include a line-by-line budget for the provision of Host Broadcast Services for each event.
