Why the Work is Being Done The Money Advice Service delivers financial guidance to the UK public through its website. This website and the tools that it contains need to be modified based on analytics and customer feedback. Problem to Be Solved Members of the public need financial guidance that is relevant to their particular circumstances and the life events that they are going through. Who Are the Users Our users are members of the general public who need guidance on personal finance many of them are struggling to make ends meet day to day or are going through a life event that they may not know how to adjust to. We attempt to answer their initial questions then lead them to consider core financial issues of budgeting and saving. Early Market Engagement Not Used Work Already Done The Money Advice Service website exists and is home to a blog and 25 tools for customer use. Existing Team The supplier will be asked to work alongside product managers and designers from the Money Advice Service staff. Money Advice Service developers will review the code delivered for quality and adherence to standards. Current Phase Live Work Location The supplier will work remotely but would be expected to meet with the Money Advice Service in their offices in the City of London periodically. Working Arrangments The supplier will provide a team of three developers, plus a senior manager or principal developer, to deliver the support and continuous improvement workstream for our websites. We will call on this team for some weeks, when our workload requires it, with breaks. You will be taking on work that is otherwise delivered by our development team, so you will need to adapt to our standards and working practices, to make hand-off between teams as smooth as possible. We will provide: a prioritised backlog; acceptance criteria; sign-off of your work; designs, assets, and content; defined standards; and access to systems. Experience with key technologies including:- Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (incl. JQuery), MySQL, PostgreSQL, HTML, CSS, GitHub and RSpec. B. Experience with delivering responsive web products. C. Experience with delivering accessible web products. D. Experience with delivering products in an incremental and iterative way. E. Experience with GitHub workflows, including using branches, merges and pull requests to manage changes to existing repositories with opportunities for oversight and comment. Nice to Haves F. Experience with supplementary technologies used within the organisation's digital estate:- SASS, Cucumber, YAML and JSON. No. of Suppliers to Evaluate 3 Proposal Criteria 1.
