Tender description

The commissioner was seeking practitioners to join the current AQP Contract period for Community Carpal Tunnel Services including Nerve Conduction Study which ends on 31.3.2019. The commissioner was seeking practitioners to provide Community Carpal Tunnel Services including Nerve Conduction Study to Barnsley registered patients. The Commissioner was open to new models of service delivery and encouraged innovation in delivering patient centred solutions to the provision of this service. Providers would need to deliver high quality, efficient services which are responsive to the needs of the local communities, in line with national guidance and local requirements. The detailed Service Specification was available on www.nhssourcing.co.uk The service would be commissioned using the Any Qualified Provider (AQP) process. In securing services under the AQP process assurance of competence, quality and safety standards would be required. Any provider would be eligible to join the qualified provider list subject to them demonstrating competency against specified criteria. Qualified providers would be expected to deliver the service under the NHS Standard Contract. As a qualified provider, there would be no levels of guaranteed activity and payment would be made based on actual provision. Successful Service Providers would be awarded an NHS Contract for the current AQP Contract period which ends on 31.3.2019.
