Medical and Medicines Management Advisor

Tender description

The Council requires a pharmaceutical advisor to deliver the following: 1. To provide advice and assurance on the quality and safety of commissioned and provided Public Health and occupational health services; 2. To provide advice on monitoring, assessing and escalating risk to ensure the commissioning and provision of safe and effective services to meet the needs of Sandwell residents; 3. To advise on clinical effectiveness, including NICE guidance standards, toolkits, guidance and best practice; 4. To attend all meetings of the Clinical Governance Committee (minimum four per year and approximately for 2 hours); 5. Provide adhoc telephone and email advice and include specific pieces of work as agreed on a case by case basis; 6. To review, advise and provide assurance on Patient Group Directions for Public Health commissioned services where required.
