Marine engineering support for the Rotherhithe to Canary Wharf Crossing

Tender description

TfL is seeking to appoint a knowledgeable and experienced marine engineering consultancy to support TfL's negotiations with key stakeholders on design and construction constraints. Additionally, the consultancy will liaise with the environmental consultant and lead on establishing a marine model to simulate different design scenarios which shall include facilitating workshops. The Consultant will produce Navigational Risk Assessments (NRA) building on the outline NRA that was produced for options appraisal on possible alignments. A 'near complete' NRA is required to support a single preferred option that will be presented at a second public consultation. A 'full' NRA and additional work to support the protective provisions and licences will be required for the Transport and Works Act Order (TWAO) application. Further support is required through the TWAO determination period and public inquiry to assist in responding to any issues and providing an expert witness.
