The Delivery of Direct Payments Support Services in Wandsworth and Richmond Borough Councils. Direct Payments (DP) information and practical support services in Wandsworth Borough Council to include a range of DP information, practical support, advice and support to employ personal assstants (PAs), payroll and managed accounts. The key aims of this services is to promote the effectiveness of Direct Payments and to ensure that Direct Payment User are able to use them to lead fulfilling lives as independently as possible. Service Users/parents/carers shall: — Receive prompt, appropriate and personalised attention and services from the Provider(s), — Be enabled to make informed choices based upon transparent and readily accessible information, — Receive support, information and advice that enables them to gain the optimum benefit from DPs, — Be enabled to move towards managing their DP independently as much as possible, — Receive tailored support in relation to physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs, older people, younger disabled children, and parents of disabled children.
