Tender description

County Durham and Darlington Services required bean to Cup Coffee Machines and Associated Goods and Services to be supplied to Darlington Memorial Hospital for either the purchase, lease or a free to loan contract. CDD Services were seeking a supplier that could provide 1, 2 or all of the following options; 1. Free to Loan — Maintenance and servicing of the machines would remain the sole responsibility of the supplier — CDD Services will purchase consumables from the supplier. 2. Lease of Machines — The maintenance and servicing of the machines will be the sole responsibility of the supplier (CDD Services will evaluate submissions for consumable options) 3. Purchase of Machines — CDD Services will purchase the machine and require maintenance, servicing and consumable options. County Durham and Darlington Services were seeking a supplier to provide Bean to Cup Coffee Machines and Associated Goods and Services. The contract period was for 36 months commencing January 2018 (with the option to extend for a further 2 x 12 months). The machines which were required but were not limited to; 2 x Bean to Cup Coffee Machines, 1 x Water/Fruit Juice Machine, 1 x Barista Bean to Cup Machine or fully automatic Barista style Machine, 2 x Coffee Vending Machines, 1 x Filter Coffee Machine and 1 x Free Standing Water Boiler. CDD Services decided at award stage of the process whether to proceed with free to loan, lease or purchase of the machines. This depended on which option was the most economically advantageous option.
