Summary of the work Review, configure & validate our Linux & FreeRadius Appliance. Specialist role Quality assurance analyst Expected Contract Length 3-5 days Latest start date Monday 5 March 2018 Early Market Engagement Not Applicable - we have not carried out an Early market engagement Who Speclialist Work With The proposed consultant will be working with the in-house DWP MDM team consulting of an Airwatch specialist, technical AWS architect and Dev Ops engineers. What Specialists Work On DWP have created a hosting environment for their MDM platform, utilising AWS and FreeRadius, creating a containerised, isolated solution built in an AWS environment. DWP now require consultancy with both Free Radius and Linux experience to assure the environment is fit for purpose and to assist with the validation of the build and the AWS configuration. Skills & Experience • Do you have experience of successfully reviewing, configuring & validating Linux configuration? (11%) • Do you have experience of successfully reviewing, configuring & validating FreeRadius configuration? (11%) • Do you have experience working with Amazon Cloud Services (AWS)? (11%) • Are you certified as a Red Hat Practitioner? (11%) • Do you have have experience working in a DevOps environment? (11%) Nice to Haves • Have you worked in a Greenfield deployment, where you determine and proposed tools and software to use? (10%) • Have you worked on an Enterprise Mobility project for a governmental organisation? (10%) Work Location 2 St. Peter's Square, Manchester, M23AA Working Arrangments We are looking at having the consultant on site with us in Manchester during the engagement. Security Clearance The consultant should have BPSS clearance. Additional T&Cs Standard Contract. Additional clause to be added for Data Protection and Security No. of Specialists to Evaluate 3 Cultural Fit Criteria • Good working relationship & checkpoints throughout the engagement (1%) • The propose consultant will work with us on-site in Manchester (1%) • Good command of English language and able to deal with all Stakeholders (1%) • Ability to deal with iterations and amendements on time (1%) • Workflow and process high level & low level design document (1%) Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 75% Cultural fit 5% Price 20% Questions from Suppliers 1. “Please can you advise if this falls in or outside of IR35a? This falls outside IR35a. 2. What is the budget for this short term project? We would expect to receive a day rate from the specialists. We believe the work would not take longer than 3-5 days. The budget will be dependant on the specialist hired. 3. Hello, please could you tell me what the IR35 status is? Thank you. This falls outside IR35a.
