Details

Published
7 February 2018

Tender description

Following the UK referendum decision to leave the European Union, there is an opportunity to develop more effective and bespoke approaches to environmental protection. In particular, the Environment Agency is focussing on developing better regulatory tools to deliver chemicals legislation requirements, and ensuring that environmental considerations are understood and incorporated appropriately into the UK regulatory response. In order to achieve this and expand our abilities in the future, the Environment Agency plans to target resource at selected activities that provide greatest progress to meeting these aims. A key area for this work plan, and the tendered project is development of the ability to model water quality exposure risk from a range of known and emerging pollutants in UK specific circumstances.
