Tender description
At present a requirement exists for the supply, installation and commissioning of a high precision and high accuracy subsea attitude heading reference and Inertial navigation system for the Institute’s deepwater ROV Holland 1 operating from Galway, Ireland. The system will be used on the ROV to provide high precision attitude and position information (with input from USBL) for use with a variety of Multibeam units for seabed surveying for science purposes and occasional commercial survey applications, the unit will also provide high accuracy position information for ROV navigation, acquisition of high precision video and still footage for mosaicking of images and 3d applications. The system will also provide heading and position data to the ROV control system. A detailed technical description is available in the attached Invitation to Tender document.
