Tender description

The treatment or processing and associate resultant disposal of residual municipal waste for Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Councils. Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Councils will be jointly letting one or more contracts for the treatment or processing of its residual municipal waste streams. A range of lots may be offered covering different waste streams depending on the finalisation of the total requirements of the Authorities. Currently it is envisaged that initial annual tonnages would be around 67 000 tonnes per year, but could increase up to around 133 000 tonnes per year during the life of the contract. A series of contracts may be let to meet the total tonnage requirements. The main requirement will commence on 1.4.2020, though pending final lotting decisions additional short term lots covering a period up to 3.2020 may also be let. Contracts will only be let to providers who will be able to accept the waste from the start date of the contract. All appropriately licensed treatment or processing methods are in scope expect for direct landfill.
