Tender description

North Lincolnshire Council is establishing a contract for the provision of a residual municipal waste treatment and disposal service. The council currently produces around 45,000 tonnes per annum of residual municipal waste. The Council will provide exclusivity of its residual municipal waste without providing a guaranteed minimum tonnage. The solution will enable the collection of the residual municipal waste from a council provided waste transfer station and to treat and dispose of the waste with an unlimited upper quantity (based on current Council waste management practices). The Council is currently working on a range of strategy options to explore further value opportunities for it's facilities and as such reserves the right to invite potential partners in the wider Lincolnshire/Yorkshire region to participate in this contract. The council is about to undertake a feasibility study on a potential Energy From Waste (EFW) facility with a view to exploring future opportunities for waste treatment, therefore the term of this contract is aligned to allow for future EFW solutions, please note the feasibility study has no impact on this contract.
