Prior Information Notice - SEND Parent and Carer Participation and Engagement

Tender description

The Council’s Children’s Commissioner, (acting as lead commissioner) is looking to commission a provider to facilitate of the participation and engagement of parents and carers of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND). The scope of services required and how the providers will be evaluated will be led by the Parents and Carers themselves, with the support of the Council, and partnership working with the Barnsley Clinical Commissioning Group (BCCG), South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SWYFT) and Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (BHNFT). The service which will be commissioned is intended to maximise the opportunity for parents and carers to lead and influence in the shaping of planning and delivery at strategic level of SEND provisions with the local authority, schools, CCG and other public bodies.
