Tender description
Leicester City Council (the Authority) invites Quotations for the supply and installation of two, two post vehicle lifts, with a minimum capacity of 5 tonnes. Currently, the Fleet Management team based at Leycroft Road in Leicester use several Vehicle lifts in order to carry out essential servicing work on their vehicles. Following an engineer’s report, two of these lifts are now condemned. This includes one Telcamit four post Vehicle lift, which has a 4 tonne weight limit, which has been condemned as beyond economical repair. Also, one KISMET four post vehicle lift with a weight limit of 3 tonnes has also been condemned; this lift was built in 1974 and is therefore at the end of life. The Fleet Management team are now looking to procure two, two post vehicle lifts with a weight limit of 5 tonnes; this will allow for a greater range of vehicles to be serviced, therefore increase productivity. The proposed Contract will be for two months. We anticipate awarding to a single Supplier. Keywords: vehicle, lift, five tonnes, servicing
