NCC Care Leavers Support Service at Belinda Ferrison House, Northampton

The service is to be provided from Belinda Ferrison House, High Mounts Northampton, NN1 3DN. The Service relates to the management of Belinda Ferrison House, a property owned by Northamptonshire County Council, to deliver a seamless model of care and support onto independence for young people leaving care. This consists of two key service areas which are outlined below. Belinda Ferrison House contains 21 flats - 18 one bedroom flats and 3 two bedroom flats. One of the 2 bedroom flats will be a \"resource flat\" to provide office space, storage, CCTV, staff sleeping in facilities and a place for meetings. Up to one of the 1 bedroom flats can be used for training and resource services for young people. 1. Service area 1 - Core service: offering accommodation and support for young people leaving care from 17 years plus across up to 19 flats (2 of which may be shared accommodation commencing year 2 onwards) as part of their planned move to independence. It is anticipated that this service will be for a period of approximately six months for each young person (we note it may be longer for those under 18) and will incorporate support and training so that young people can move into their own accommodation. 2. Service area 2 - Provision of floating support: providing the staffing and support for young people 17 years plus moving on from the core (service area 1) services delivered at Belinda Ferrison House into their own accommodation for a period of up to 3 months. Please note this service is only for young people accessing the core service (service area 1) and will not be available to young people who have not been resident at Belinda Ferrison House.
