Tender description
There are existing cables that are rated according to previous IEE regulations. These cables now require replacing as part of the replacement programme that will require cables designed and installed according to BS 7671 with a 90 degree thermoset SWA LSOH cable. The cables are serving; the FCS areas, where the sheer weight and size of the cables can cause issues during works that is required in these areas. These cables also are coming to the end of their safe working life, with gradual degradation of cable and conductor insulation over the years.
