Summary of the work The developer will work on enhancement of existing Government Communication Services (GCS) Membership platform, which will include extending its People Finder tool to support new membership types. The developer will also carry out any outstanding backlog of work. Specialist role Developer Expected Contract Length 1 month Latest start date Monday 19 February 2018 Maximum Day Rate Up to £500/day Who Speclialist Work With You will be working with a multi-disciplinary team, mainly developers. What Specialists Work On Implement enhancement of existing Government Communication Services (GCS) Membership platform, including extending its People Finder tool, as well as tackling outstanding backlog of work. Skills & Experience • Minimum 4 years in a professional web development role. • Strong working knowledge of PHP5/PHP7 and OO PHP development. • At least 2 years of strong working knowledge of Laravel, including solid understanding of MVC and TDD. • Frontend UI development with Bootstrap, SASS, Gulp and Webpack. • 2 years experience of working in cloud based infrastructure using AWS. • Ability to present and communicate technical solutions to a technical and non-technical audience. • Experience of working with third-party APIs, including MailChimp/AWS SES. • Ability to take ownership of the entire development lifecycle, i.e. development and testing through to deployment.
