Tender description

By 2020/21, there will be increased access to psychological therapies, so that at least 25 % of people (or 1 500 000 nationally) with common mental health conditions access services each year, In order for Southampton City CCG to deliver against the agenda the CCG is direct awarding, to extend the existing contract with Dorset Healthcare University Foundation Trust rather than undertake a competitive procurement process. The extension will be for a period of 24 months with the longer term aim will be for the services to be procured through a competitive tender process with a new contract start date of the 1.4.2021. This direct award will satisfy patient needs and provide stability during significant service expansion and development of an integrated IAPT model for Southampton. The direct award will have a positive impact by allowing commissioners to review the evaluation and outcomes from NHS England funded “early implementer” sites.
