Tender description

In order to progress a new campus in Manchester City centre, the group requires the services of an experienced architect/lead designer. The service will be by way of a direct appointment to the LTE Group via a bespoke letter of appointment. The project is to consist of a full design service which will likely comprise the design and delivery of a new campus building and the design and delivery of education and sports facilities at the existing campus, including site clearance and co-ordination of remodeling/ refurbishment of existing buildings. The Manchester College (TMC) is part of the LTE group, the UK’s largest social enterprise dedicated to skills and training, reinvesting our surpluses in innovation and growth. The group reflects the combined strengths and services of our four leading organisations: TMC, Novus, Total People and MOL. TMC is one of the largest FE colleges in the UK, with 23 000 students and 1 700 staff and is the number one provider of 16-19, adult and HE in Greater Manchester (GM). More than 25 % of GM’s learning provision is undertaken by TMC. Group turnover for 16/17 is expected to reach GBP 190 000 000. The College’s 5-year strategy is a response to changes such as devolved government, the Industrial strategy and the Northern Powerhouse; including probably the largest estate reshape in the sector providing high-quality learning opportunities and environments for students, staff and employers including a new campus in the heart of the city centre.
