Tender description
Calibration, Inspection, Testing (safety testing and authorised repair) of the IMTE (Inspection of Measuring and Test Equipment) used by Network Rail and its subsidiaries for the maintenance of its railway infrastructure. The service shall comprise of calibration, certification, inspection, testing (safety testing and authorised repair) of IMTE (Inspection of Measuring and Test Equipment). This includes the collection of equipment, calibration off site and the equipment’s return to NR. A record of calibration results must be retained by the calibrator and made available to NR on an online accessible system. The calibration is to be carried out at the supplier’s premises or at the original manufacturer. These premises are to be/contain a UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) certified laboratory and/or equipment. These premises are to be situated within an appropriate distance to enable an efficient service that will not impede turnaround time. Calibrated equipment is to be returned to its original location, using Network Rail’s individual depots as the main points of contact, access and reference.
