Tender description

The main purpose of the Early Years Professional Development Fund Programme is to support pre-reception early years practitioners to improve their practice in working with very young children between the ages of 2 and 4. This aims to improve outcomes in language, literacy and numeracy for the most disadvantaged children, with an emphasis on improving school readiness. The proposed contract period is from May 2019 to July 2021. A Third Party Evaluator will be appointed to undertake a robust assessment of the impact of the Programme. Subject to supplier performance, Ministerial approval and funding being available, the Department may extend the Contract up to a further 24 months should the Programme prove effective
