Tender description

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board who sought an impact of population growth assessment to develop a clear understanding of the drivers of the underlying financial deficit of the UHB – in particular the extent to which population growth, compounded by demographic shifts have placed demand burdens on the UHB. The awarded bidder will be requested to produce a report within specified timescales which addresses actions that the health board could undertake whilst recognising the restrictions of service model constraints as well as the timetable of improvement that will impact the pace at which improvements can be made along with health inequalities. The following skills and experience will be required to deliver the specification: — knowledge and experience of the healthcare sector, — project management, — ability to (credibly) engage with the health board and its employees across directorates, — ability to work under pressure, delivering to demanding timetables, and — excellent written communication skills. The report must contain a set of prioritised recommendations based on the findings which can be presented to WG as a report from the CVUHB Board.
