Tender description
1. The waste collection of segregated streams of clear, green and brown glass from receptacles at specified Bring Banks, including specified Bring Banks located beside or within Civic Amenity Sites, in counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Waterford and Wexford. 2. The waste collection of metal cans from receptacles at specified Bring Banks, including specified Bring Banks located beside or within Civic Amenity Sites, in counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Waterford and Wexford. 3. The bulking of collected glass and metal cans at appropriately authorised waste facilities (waste licensed, waste permitted or other appropriate authorisation). 4. The marketing and sale of the glass and metal cans. 5. The disposal to an appropriate facility of any contaminated materials collected in the recyclable streams. 6. The examination and load testing of the 2-hook lift mechanisms of Bring Bank receptacles at six month intervals, conduct repairs of existing receptacles, as necessary and the removal of receptacles or provision of new receptacles as required from time to time. In County Wexford, where appropriate, the removal and replacement of the Standard Recycling Receptacles (i.e. ca. 418No. 2.5cubic-metre receptacles), in an orderly manner to ensure minimum service disruption and be completed within three months of contract commencement date. 7. The submission of regular reports on the examination, testing and repair of receptacles to each of the five local authorities. 8. The submission of electronic monthly reports to each of the five local authorities (as per an agreed template) detailing the tonnages of each separate material collected from each site. 9. To undertake a Health and Safety risk assessment at all Bring Bank locations, including Bring Banks located beside or within Civic Amenity Sites. 10. To maintain a consistent collection/servicing frequency to ensure all Bring Bank receptacles are never in a position that they are full or overflowing.
